This page is a timeline of Marble Blast's history.

2002

• GarageGames and Monster Studios begin development on Marble Blast in June.
• Marble Blast's demo was released in early December.
• Marble Blast is first released for digital distribution on December 12^th, for $14.95 on the GarageGames store.

2003

• On January 16^th, five weeks after the release of the Windows version of Marble Blast, the Mac port was released.
• The Linux version of Marble Blast was released in February.
• Marble Blast sells over 1,000 copies in 3 months, netting an estimated $15,000 in revenues by early March.
• On May 9^th, Marble Blast Gold, an expansion pack for Marble Blast, was released. The expansion introduced the Gold Time gameplay mechanic to the game, as well as 28 new advanced levels.
• On June 24^th, the Windows version of Marble Blast received a retail release published by eGames known as Marble Blaster. It was the base version of the game (as such, it did not include the Gold expansion pack; however, it included one level from it: Dive!). The game retailed for $14.99; it could also be purchased as a digital download from the eGames store.

2004

• Monster Studios shuts down.

2005

• Marble Blast is ported to Microsoft's XBOX console. The port featured some exclusive levels, all of which went on to feature in Marble Blast Ultra.

2006

• Marble Blast Ultra is released for Microsoft's Xbox 360 console.
• The first Marble Blast Gold World Record Rampage is uploaded to YouTube.
• MBP was created in November.
• The troll Luke Skywalker joins the GarageGames Forums. Despite Luke's increasingly bad behavior, it took months for him to be banned. This inspired Matan Weissman and Technostick to create the Marble Blast Forums.

2007

• Marble Blast Platinum, the most popular mod for Marble Blast Gold, was released, with positive feedback from the Marble Blast community.
• The beta version of MBP came out in May, but it has not been released to the public until October 2016.
• InterActiveCorp acquired GarageGames. GarageGames was renamed "TorquePowered" after the acquisition.
• Under InterActiveCorp, TorquePowered created InstantAction, an in-browser gaming platform. Marble Blast Online was among the dozens of games available through the platform.
• Marble Blast XP is released for Hasbro's NetJet console.
• Marble Blaster was reissued for retail distribution by eGames. It was given its original name, Marble Blast.
• The final version of MBP came out in December.

2009

• GarageGames' first-ever mobile game, Marble Blast Mobile was released. The game was a port of Marble Blast Ultra to Apple's iOS operating system.
• Marble Blast Gold World Record Rampage #2 is uploaded onto YouTube in four segments: Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced, as well as the blooper reel.
• PlatinumQuest was created in September.

2010

• The first Marble Blast Platinum World Record Rampage is uploaded to YouTube.
• InstantAction is shut down, shutting down Marble Blast Online for good.
• XBOX Live for the original XBOX shuts down, causing the XBOX port to be delisted.

2011

• GG sells Marble Blast to IAC.
• The third MBG World Record Rampage is released onto YouTube and SDA at the end of the year.

2012

• Marble Blast turns ten years old.
• MBG starts to disappear off the Internet, with only the MacGame Store as a legal place to buy MBG, for $6.99.

2013

• MBP 1.50 is announced, which the main feature is long-awaited Multiplayer, which had been absent for three years prior to the announcement.
• The second MBG World Record Rampage is released onto YouTube, even including Director's Cut levels.
• The Marble Blast Forums are planned to be redone and released in November 2013, linking one's account with their Phil'sEmpire account for MBP Online, and also MBP 1.50 was planned to be released around that date.

2014

• The new Marble Blast Forums are released on January 6^th, along with the long-awaited MBP 1.50.
• Downloads for Marble Blast Gold are released on the forums, making it the only place where Marble Blast Gold can be downloaded legally besides the MacGameStore.

2015

• Marble Blast Fubar came out for open beta testing.

2016

• PlatinumQuest development was finished in February.
• PlatinumQuest demo version came out in November.

2017

• Marble Blast Fubar was removed from Marble Blast Launcher, because the game did not have any updates since January.
• Marble Blast Platinum was replaced with PlatinumQuest since July 6th.
