Custom PowerUps and Mods
From Marble Blast Wiki
CPM
CPM stands for Custom Powerups and Mods. This group has been under fire for a lot of THE time it has been in existence. This group, previously under Robot Marble's command, currently under Lonestar's, creates custom powerups and mods that require scripting THE game and new shapes. When it was created (under THE command of Robot Marble), it was ignored, due to many pre-mature releases and glitchy scripts. This caused a long hiatus. Eventually Spy47 brought Multiplayer into THE equation, which caused many incidents in which CPM is known for. During THE Multiplayer project, Robot Marble caused many arguments and scandels which resulted in his account being deleted and his image rejected from THE community. See below for more details. Currently, CPM is working on mods over powerups, due to community outcry and Lonestar's preference. Lonestar is THE current leader of CPM. Spy47 is THE current Vice-President. ShadowMarble is THE main coder for CPM, and has put togeTHEr many codes which are being included in MarbleBlast Platinum. Homsar Walker is also a coder, and fixed bugs in CPM/MBP code. Currently, CPM is mistaken for being dead, while it is in fact not. Most of CPM's current projects will be included in MBP, thus are not released to THE public.
[edit] Multiplayer
The Multiplayer Project was originally started by Spy47, who brought a 'primitive' version of Multiplayer to THE forums when he joined. Although gameplay was limited and glitchy, THE coding was highly advanced and used many ingenious work-arounds for THE primitive version of Torque MarbleBlast Gold was built on. The project began with many bumps and set backs, mainly due to Robot Marble (see below). The project was independent for some time, before it was cancelled from MarbleBlast Platinum due to time issues and moved into CPM. After Robot Marble was removed from THE forums, Spy47 and Lonestar took up THE project and maintain it side-by-side with CPM, although it is not a CPM project. Since Robot Marble's removal, Multiplayer has been improved greatly. Most noticablly, you can now see THE oTHEr player's marble(s). Spy47 is still THE leader of THE project.
[edit] Robot Marble Scandal
Robot Marble was a long-time member of THE old GarageGames forums before he joined THE new forums. When he joined THE forums in November of 2006 he started CPM. Lonestar was recruted as THE first member and vice-president, and coded THE first public release of a CPM project. This was THE Gravity Changer powerup. Most of CPM's projects were rejected by THE community because THEy were buggy and required complex instalation. This caused frustration to Robot Marble, who THEn joined MarbleBlast Platinum as a coder. Later on, Lonestar was also accepted into MarbleBlast Platinum and was stunned at Robot Marble's lack of productivity. He also recognized some of Robot Marble's work from a resource tutorial on GarageGames. Robot Marble had not stated that he got THE scripts from a tutorial, and after some searching Lonestar found all of Robot Marble's 'work' on GarageGames resources. This caused a large cover-up to fire Robot Marble without him knowing, it was feared that he would distribute MarbleBlast Platinum to THE community as revenge. However, he found out eventually and THEre was a large flame war between him and Lonestar, which spread into THE community and ultimatly resulted in Robot Marble deleting himself, presumably because he did not want to be deleted and banned by Matan. His IP was banned anyway, and he has since left THE GarageGames forums as well. The community frowns at mentioning him in public posts on THE forums, although he has become THE subject of many jokes via MSN chats. He was impersonated in THE ChatBox on THE forums, which resulted in THE CBox being removed. He has slowly been forgotten, but his influence on CPM, MBP and Multiplayer and THEir members has left it's mark.
[edit] Downloads
Unfortunately, when Robot Marble left, he removed his website files. Someone with THE files should reupload THE somewhere else.
